Finalizing a poem to share with you this month has been difficult, partly because I feel like March flew by much more quickly than I was prepared for. Tomorrow we change the calendar to April, the month our baby is expected to arrive. I have a taped to-do list on my office wall that is five pages long; none of it includes baby prep; rather, it is the work I must complete before I can take my short maternity leave. The only way I can keep my brain organized these days is by displaying my tasks in plain sight.
There has been plenty of inspiration this month. In last week’s newsletter, I wrote about the pause between seasons; the poetry found in the shift toward spring.
