Swim Club
Tomorrow is Wednesday, which means swim club! Yes, even still in the snow. I have been sick this week and so I won’t be there, but if you are interested in joining the crew for a swim, they will be in Glen Haven at 9am tomorrow, Wednesday, November 29!
Feel free to leave a comment on this post or on the Swim Club thread and I’ll give you more information, if you’re interested in joining us. Moving forward, I’ll post updates on the Swim Club thread, with only occasional updates in the weekly newsletters.

Programming will begin around 5pm, with information about the collection, followed by a reading by me and music by Ty Maxon .

Dancing Shadows
Last week before the snow came to northern Michigan, we took tea and musical instruments to the beach to watch and celebrate the sunset on a beautiful November day. The instruments came along as a means of encouraging my son to come along. He wasn’t in the mood for a walk to the beach, but I needed it and the instruments served as motivation.
As the sun dipped lower, I stepped closer to the water, and was delighted to see the sunlight casting shadows of the waves on the sand. It was such a playful image, the rapid movements like dancing, the rumble of the waves like laughter. Enjoy this video from that moment:
